We run into a little girl, crying because her parents made her leave when elementals took over her house. The party members are suuuuper cynical, and remove her magic, revealing that the 'little girl' is actually a druid. She says she really could use our help, elementals really are taking over villages around here. We work out an arrangement where we spend 1 day helping her, and then she will get us to the coast faster. Rosalee agrees with me that the 'locomotive' they're working on is actually magic behind the scenes, not 'science'.
Thantch sends a message to Danil through a network of birds. He says to come to Maybury. We decide to stay for a week while waiting.

Maybury has too many rules. Also the concept of a church. Queen Clarissa, and Princess Consort Sir Rosalee. All the giants in the land are acting like the 2 we met. The giants are like children, the elementals are more like teenagers. The elementals have control of the aura of protection around the temple. they live in a cave system near the base of the stairs.
